Slow your breath.
In for 4, hold for 4, out for 6. Five rounds. Your body is allowed to take a minute. Nothing on this site requires a fast response.
◇ STEP 02
Name three things in the room.
Sight, sound, touch. One of each. Out loud if you can. Anchor to the room you're physically in before anything else.
◇ STEP 03
Drink water. Eat something.
Basic load-balancing. Acute crises often track with low blood sugar, dehydration, and missed sleep. Handle the floor before the ceiling.

Tell one person.
Not necessarily about everything. Just one sentence to one person who knows your name. A friend, a family member, a hotline above. You don't have to be alone in the next ten minutes.
